三島喜美代は1932年、大阪に生まれました。1951年に大阪府立扇町高等学校を卒業。1986年から1987年にかけて、アジア文化協議会（Asian Cultural Council, ACC）のロックフェラー奨学金の支援を受け、ニューヨークに滞在しました。

三島喜美代エステートは、三島喜美代の作品を含む展覧会、またはその作品に応答する企画に対して、実務的および概念的なサポートを提供しています。また、過去および現在の展覧会に関するアーカイブを構築・維持し、写真記録、関連資料、作品の展示や保存に関わる情報などを、多様な情報源から継続的に収集しています。

The Kimiyo Mishima Estate is dedicated to the ongoing collection, organization, and development of materials, records, research, and texts related to the work of Kimiyo Mishima. The Estate serves as a resource for all those who wish to learn about Mishima’s work and contribute to its understanding, study, and continued legacy.

Kimiyo Mishima was born in Osaka in 1932. She graduated from Ogimachi High School in Osaka in 1951. From 1986 to 1987, she lived and worked in New York with the support of a Rockefeller Fellowship from the Asian Cultural Council.

The Kimiyo Mishima Estate provides practical and conceptual support for exhibitions that include Mishima’s work, as well as for projects that respond to it. The Estate also builds and maintains an archive of past and current exhibitions, continuously gathering photographic documentation, related materials, and information concerning the exhibition, conservation, and interpretation of her work from a wide range of sources.

The facilitation of research and publication projects is one of the Estate’s core activities. In order to deepen and expand the understanding of Mishima’s work, the Estate develops and maintains texts, interviews, and archival materials, while also managing Kimiyo Mishima’s copyright and licensing where appropriate.

Kimiyo Mishima

Kimiyo Mishima was born in 1932 in Osaka, Japan. She graduated from Ogimachi Public High School in Osaka in 1951. In 1986/87, she studied in New York, supported by a Rockefeller Scholarship grant from the Asian Cultural Council (ACC), New York, USA.

She passed away on June 19, 2024.
